With an area of 520.8 sq.km.,Corbett National Park is a protected area created by the government of UP to protect the immense wildlife treasures. The tourist season stretches from November 15 to June 15 and the main tourist centre is at Dhilka. One can hire coaches and jeeps and even elephants to view the exotic species of wildlife that the park houses. The varied fauna includes the tiger, leopard, elephant, bear, hog and sambhar deer, fox, and the mugger and gharial crocodiles amongst others. The park also boasts of a large flora variety. |
