Ponmudi

Just two hours drive from Kovalam is this beautiful hill station of Kerala -- Ponmudi. It offers a spectacular panoramic view of the hill ranges around the tea-estates and the mist-covered valleys. And, pretty little stone cottages with peaked roofs, painted in violet, pink and white.

Nearby is a small deer park, as also a picnic spot -- Golden Valley with some natural springs.
