Sarvana Belagola

Welged between two rocky hills, Indragiri and Chandragiri, this legendary Jain pilgrim centre is 150 km from Bangalore, and 80 km from Mysore. Dating back to the 3rd century B. C. this town is the site of the statue of the Jain saint Bahubali, which is considered to be the world's tallest monolithic statue.

ACCESS

The nearest airport is at Mysore (93 km) and the nearest railhead at Hassan (49 km) is connected to Mysore, Mangalore and Bangalore.

The town is also well connected by road to several tourist centres like Bangalore 160 km, Belur (86 km) and Mysore (93 km). Regular bus services are available from these places to Sravanabelagola.
