Badrinath is 343 km from
Dehradun. Alaknanda, one of the constituents of the Ganga, forges its
way down the steep rocky Himalayas. During its descent, it changes from
a gorge onto a wide shelf. At the end of this shelf, which is banked on
either side by wild flowers, Badrinath is located. |
