Kanha

"One of the finest national parks not only in Asia, but in the whole world," said a director of the U.N. Environment Programme about Kanha. And so it is. The tiger, the bison, the wild boar, numerous langoors and a variety of birds abound, and in their natural surroundings, too. Species of Barasingha, once feared to be on the verge of extinction, have shown amazing receptivity to the care, concern and love shown to them. They number more than a hundred.

ACCESS

The nearest airports are Jabalpur (172 km) and Nagpur (266 km) from where bus services are availabe to Kanha.

Jabalpur (173 km) is the nearest railhead from where road transport is available.

Facilities: Cars, jeeps, station wagons, mini-buses, vans, motor cyles etc are permitted on nominal payment.
