Yamunotri

The source of the Yamuna river, this shrine is one of the four most important pilgrimages together called the `char dham'. It is believed that sage Asit Muni used to reside here in ancient times.
The temple devoted to Goddess Yamuna and the holy hot water springs are a pilgrim's treat.

ACCESS

While the nearest airport is Jolly Grant, the nearest railhead is Rishikesh. From both these places one has to take the road route.
